Meet Erica
Erica Bertschy, LPCC (she/her) | Denver Grief Counselor Specializing in Grief, Loss, and Life Transitions
I’m Erica (she/her), a Denver-based grief and burnout therapist dedicated to supporting adults through grief, loss, caregiver fatigue, parenting stress, and major life transitions. With a background in hospice care and mental health counseling, I bring deep empathy to my work, offering a safe, validating space for those navigating loss, identity shifts, and the emotional toll of caregiving.
Grief, burnout, and life’s unexpected changes can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. I help clients develop emotional coping skills, nervous system regulation techniques, and self-compassion practices to move through life’s challenges with resilience. My therapeutic approach integrates Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy, along with a touch of humor and personality.
My practice is rooted in inclusivity, respect, and justice. As an LGBTQ+ affirming and anti-racist therapist, I strive to create a space where all identities are seen, valued, and supported. I recognize the systemic barriers impacting mental health and am committed to providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
Outside of counseling, I’m a mom to three young kids who understands the realities of parenting stress and the mental load of caregiving. I also love yoga, traveling, being outdoors, and cooking with my family.
